Estate Administration

Upon the death of a loved one, his/her assets need to be managed, collected and distributed. The process of estate administration involves the gathering of all of the assets of the estate, paying the debts of the decedent, paying any death taxes due and then distributing the remaining assets of the estate to the beneficiaries.

The experienced staff at the Daly Law Firm includes paralegals and fiduciary experts who work closely with the Executors, Trustees and Beneficiaries to provide the smooth and orderly administration of the estate and trusts. Although each estate is unique, our services cover the estate administration process which would include the following:

  • Electronic filing of all court documents for probate
  • Probate vs. Non-Probate Assets
  • Appointments of Administrators or executors
  • Inventory and evaluation of assets
  • Tax elections and allocations
  • Preparation of Federal estate, PA. Inheritance Tax as well as fiduciary income tax returns (Federal and State)
  • Preparation of executor and trustee accountings
  • Distribution of estate and trust assets to beneficiaries

As litigation continues to grow regarding trusts and estates along with new laws requiring fiduciaries to make more complex decisions, more challenges are being made to the Executors and administrators of estates resulting in litigation.
